Submit all final transcripts as soon as possible.
If you are currently enrolled in any coursework or if you have completed any coursework since submitting your application, please have all final copies of these transcripts sent to Mercer. Your transcripts help determine your Mercer class schedule and federal financial aid. Transcripts may be emailed to email@example.com or sent via postal mail: Mercer University Henry County Regional Academic Center, Office of University Admissions, P.O. Box 2140, McDonough, GA 30253. Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution.
Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
If you have not done so already, complete your FAFSA to be considered for additional financial assistance. Mercer’s federal school code is 001580.
Complete ACCUPLACER assessment.
You may be selected to take an ACCUPLACER assessment prior to your enrollment. This assessment is used to determine if you’re eligible for possible exemption from certain classes. A counselor will be in touch to discuss next steps and scheduling options.
If you are a fully online student, you are not required to take this assessment; however, it is strongly recommended as it will help customize your course schedule based on your content familiarity, adding additional convenience to your Mercer online experience.
Access your MyMercer account.
Mercer’s Information Technology Help Desk will send your MyMercer username and password to the email address used to create your application.
Accept the Statement of Student Responsibilities.
All Mercer students must digitally sign their Statement of Student Responsibilities before they are eligible to register for classes. This statement can be found on the Student Information Dashboard when you log into MyMercer.
Review your financial aid package.
Details of your financial aid award package will be available through MyMercer, and you will be notified via email when it is ready. Contact your admissions counselor to schedule a time to discuss your financial aid in detail.
Plan your payment.
Bills will be posted digitally to your MyMercer account approximately 30 days before the start of the session. Check your Mercer email for notifications. Your account balance is due the first day of class. Information about payment plan options is available through the Office of the Bursar.
Meet with your academic advisor.
You will receive more information on building your schedule and registering for classes during New Student Orientation.
Attend New Student Orientation.
You will receive an email from a team member regarding next steps for orientation. You may also view dates at the bottom of this page and register for the orientation most convenient for you.
Students enrolled in a fully online program will receive instructions regarding a virtual New Student Orientation. During this session, you will be provided additional resources that are pertinent to online students, including an IT checklist for computer specifications and training in Mercer’s course management system, Canvas.
Begin checking your Mercer email.
Log in to your MyMercer account to retrieve your Mercer email address. Learn more about accessing or forwarding emails at it.mercer.edu. All official email communication from the University will be sent to this email account. You may also check your Mercer email via Office 365 online. Enter your Mercer University ID number followed by @live.mercer.edu (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org), and enter the same password used to access your MyMercer account.
Order textbooks and materials.
After meeting with your academic advisor before or during orientation, you should have your course schedule for the upcoming session. In preparation for your classes, check with the Mercer bookstore to order the textbooks and supplemental resources you will need. Bookstore locations are available in Atlanta or Macon. A pop-up bookstore is available at Henry County during orientation and registration week and the first week of each session. You can also order textbooks online at ShopMercerBears.com.
Complete your Immunization Form.
All students who are completing coursework at one of Mercer’s locations must submit an Immunization Form. Return your completed Immunization Form to Student Health Services.
Students enrolled in Atlanta, Douglas County, or Henry County:
Submit Immunization Form to 3001 Mercer University Drive, Atlanta, GA 30341, or electronically to email@example.com. Forms may also be submitted by fax to 678.547.6054.
Students enrolled on the Macon Campus:
Submit Immunization Form to 1501 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31207, or electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org. Forms may also be submitted by fax to 478.301.2116.
Fully online students are exempt from immunization requirements.
